Control cabinet manufacturing for industrial companies

Control cabinet manufacturing for machines, plants and industrial applications

Gross Schaltschrankbau manufactures control cabinets and electrical assemblies based on approved documents. Mechanical machining, assembly and component mounting, professional wiring and cable assembly interlock as coordinated manufacturing steps.

What does industrial control cabinet manufacturing involve?

Industrial control cabinet manufacturing turns approved schematics, layout drawings and bills of materials into an assembled, wired and tested control cabinet. Depending on the order, this includes CNC machining, assembly, component mounting, wiring, cable assembly, marking and testing.

End-to-end process

From approved documents to a tested control cabinet

Control cabinet manufacturing is a process chain in which every step builds on the result of the previous one. Imprecise machining forces corrections during assembly, unclear assembly complicates wiring, and untraceable wiring prolongs testing.

That is why manufacturing does not start with the enclosure but with the documents: schematic, layout drawing and bill of materials are checked for completeness and revision status. Contradictions go back to engineering before material is committed.

We work exclusively to the approved status. Anything noticed in the workshop is documented and reported back – not quietly fixed, because otherwise the documentation would no longer match the cabinet.

The end result is a tested, marked and documented control cabinet whose condition matches the documents.

01

Review documents

Check revision, bill of materials, layout and approvals.

02

Frequently asked questions

Questions about control cabinet manufacturing

Can individual manufacturing steps be commissioned separately?

Yes. Mechanical machining, assembly and component mounting, wiring, cable assembly and testing can be commissioned individually or in combination.
Approved schematics, layout drawings and bills of materials with a clear revision status, plus marking, testing and acceptance requirements.
Yes, provided goods receipt, completeness and liability are settled in advance. Procurement by Gross Schaltschrankbau or a mixed model are also possible.
Yes. One-off production, small and medium series as well as recurring call-offs are possible – find out more under Manufacturing models.
