Control cabinet manufacturing for industrial companies

Structured assembly and component mounting of control cabinets and assemblies

Gross Schaltschrankbau mounts DIN rails, wiring ducts and electrical components according to approved layout drawings and bills of materials. Clear positioning, marking and inspection prepare the ground for efficient wiring.

What do assembly and component mounting include?

Assembly and component mounting cover the mechanical build of a control cabinet or an electrical assembly. This includes fitting DIN rails and ducts, mounting components, operator and display elements, and marking them clearly according to approved documents.

Basis

Layout drawing, bill of materials and approval status

Scope

From a single assembly to a complete control cabinet

Material

Free-issue or procurement

Inspection

Position, fastening and marking

Scope of services

Work steps and typical applications

Three assembly services and three typical starting points. The specific scope depends on the layout drawing, bill of materials and free-issue parts.

Mechanical build

Mount DIN rails, ducts, brackets and accessories.

Component mounting

Fit switching, protection, control and interface components.

Marking

Clearly label equipment, installation locations and operator devices.

Mounting plates

Pre-assembled units for subsequent wiring.

Complete enclosures

Interior fit-out, doors and accessories according to the layout drawing.

Sub-assemblies

Self-contained modules for integration at the customer's site.

Process

From data set to inspected result

Assembly and component mounting define the structure in which wiring, testing and maintenance will later take place. A well-thought-out arrangement saves cable length during wiring and makes every later change to the system easier.

The basis is the approved layout drawing and the bill of materials. Where the two do not match or components are missing, we report this back before assembly starts – deviations in the build can only be corrected later with considerable effort.

Marking follows the documentation, not workshop convention. This keeps the cabinet readable for wiring, testing and maintenance without further explanation.

01

Review documents

Check layout drawing, bill of materials and revision status.

02

Provide materials

Pick components and check them for completeness.

03

Mount the layout

Fit DIN rails, cable ducts, brackets and accessories.

04

Mount components

Insert, fasten and mark devices.

05

Inspect

Check position, fastening and labelling.

Required information

Basis for quotation and manufacturing

The more complete this information is, the more reliable the quotation, schedule and inspection scope will be. We clarify missing points before manufacturing starts.

Layout and BOM

Requirements and test criteria

Quality assurance

Traceable inspection of defined characteristics

Position, fastening and marking are checked against the approved documents and recorded.
